Habitat Enhancement

We have been working closely with Mason County Conservation District employees to create a "Best Practice" farming plan which consists partly of enhancing a portion of critical Salmon habitat along the south bank of Trillium Creek. The health of the Oakland bay watershed directly impacts all of the Salmon and Trout runs as well as clam and oyster harvesting in mason county. we hope to improve this watershed by removing invasive and noxious plants and replanting with hundreds of native plants creating shade and cover for many species and in turn restoring parts of this forest to its natural state.

Keep checking our site for updated photos as the project continues.
